Art-making is for everyone.

I believe that making art is a very natural human instinct, and it can be a unique way of expressing emotions and ideas.  My favorite thing to do is show people the MANY different ways of making art and encourage them to know that the way THEY make art is valid, special, and important.  I provide skills, techniques, possibilities, and encouragement, and they make the magic by creating their unique art!

I teach people from age 1 to 100! My goal is to encourage and empower my students through skill-building and exploration in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

  • Private Art Lessons

    I am happy to work with any student from age 1 to 100 at any skill level! My projects are designed to be fun and stress-free, but you will learn valuable skills along the way too. Possible mediums include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and simple clay creations.  Most importantly, I want to help you feel good about the art you make and proud of your own style. Since we will work one-on-one, I will design a project based on your interests and tailor my instruction just for you!  I’m happy to do a single lesson, multiples, or regular lessons on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Not every session will produce a "finished" piece of art to hang up, because play and exploration are an essential part of the process, but you will definitely complete finished projects that you want to proudly display!

    Lessons are held at Up & Coming, a unique studio space in downtown Flagstaff. I will set up all the supplies and handle clean-up when we’re done!

    Price: $45 per single student per hour, $20 for each additional student during the same session.

  • Group Classes/Workshops

    KIDS: I offer youth art classes for ages 8-14. I have one left in 2024 on 11/23! Starting in January 2025, these will be one hour on Saturday afternoons. Students will explore drawing, painting, and printmaking and create a different project each week! Class size is limited to 8 students. Sign up for my mailing list at the bottom of the page to be the first to know the details!

    I will also be offering various kids art workshops in the new year, so stay tuned!

    Price: $30 per student per class (supplies included). You can sign up for one class at a time, or multiple weeks all at once! Registration is required, no walk-in's please. If needed, please cancel online 24 hours prior to class start time to be entitled to a refund.

    ADULTS:

    I also offer periodic adult art workshops! I love sharing the skills and techniques I have learned as an artist in a supportive environment. These take place at Up & Coming boutique in downtown Flagstaff.

  • Private Workshops

    Want to create a special memory with a group of friends? I’m available to book private group workshops at my shared studio space in downtown Flagstaff. We will work together to decide what kind of project you’d like to do, and I will provide all supplies, handle set-up, teaching, and clean-up. These are usually 2 hours. I am not currently offering youth birthday parties.
